Built on the Southern end of the Gulf of Hammamet on the northeast coast of Tunisia. It is the capital of Sahel and is a significant olive growing region. It is no wonder why Sousse has become a favoured tourist destination.

The place has it all. Stunning beaches, excellent climate, hotels of all classes, good restaurants and a fantastic range of day trips. Especially known for its ancient walled city, Medina, the resort of Sousse attracts families and young couples. It is full of interesting sites with many attractions around Medina. Some of these are: a lighthouse built in 859 AD and The Ribat fortress that was designed to defend the country from invaders, an impressive Mosque and the Sousse Museum. To the north and on the way to Port El Kantaoui there is a suburb known as Hammam Sousse with a beach, shops and cafes.

 

 

Situated right next to Monastir, Skanes is an attractive, easy-going resort and historic town surrounded by olive trees and set on a spectacular sandy beach. It is one of the most important holiday destinations in Tunisia, as it is a suburb of its famous neighbor Monastir. It has a new 18-hole golf course called the Palm Links Golf Club. A holiday in Skanes would be ideal for those holiday makers who desire a relaxing holiday on the beach.

 

 

One of the most chic, up-market resort areas of Tunisia and the first purpose built holiday resort. It features a swish international Andalucian-style yacht marina surrounded by luxurious hotels. The port is a narrow coastal strip on both sides side of a smallish purpose-built resort, centered on the marina.

It has no authentic sites and local history but instead most of the traditional architectural style has been cleverly recreated in the modern style. The resort features excellent sandy beaches offering a wide range of water sports including sailing, windsurfing, jet skiing. Other activities include tennis and golf. The marina has souvenir stalls, waterfront cafes, and restaurants.

 

 

An extremely elegant city edged by a sea-front boulevard and located at the southern end of the Gulf of Hammammet surrounded by olive groves and pine trees. Considered as one of Tunisia’s most important holiday destinations with white sandy beaches stretching all the way towards Sousse.

Surrounding the marina are a wide range of restaurants and small pavement cafes serving international and local dishes. The old town area offers a picturesque, Arabic atmosphere and features numerous shops and entertainment. With its 9th century walls and the famous Ribat tower (a fortress for warrior monks) over a modern resort complex, the result is truly amazing and harmonious as Monastir has managed to blend old/traditional and new together.

 

 

The beautiful port of Mahdia is conveniently situated around the resorts of Sousse and Sfax and it was proclaimed the first capital of Tunisia. One of its most important attractions is the Central Mosque which dates back into the 10th century, and the entrance to the Medina whose main characteristic is a humungous 16th century gate.

Tailors, embroiderers, and local weavers who sell traditional costumes alongside the market can be found all over the city. The market which takes place every Friday is a highlight.

 

 

Located exactly south of Hammamet just a few minutes away. Its sandy white beach is one of the longest golden sandy beaches in Tunisia, adjacent to a palm-tree lined promenade.

This resort is bustling with entertainment which ranges from shops, casinos, nightclubs, bazaars, and thalassotherapy centers.
