The resort of Protaras is located on the south east coast of Cyprus, near the famous Agia Napa beach that is only a few minutes drive away. Preveza is a coastal prefecture, one of the four that make Epirus, known for its great variation in landscape ranging from high mountains, plains and gorgeous beaches. Aside from bordering the other three prefectures of Epirus, Preveza also borders the Amvrakikos gulf to the south and the Ioanian Sea to the west.

It is a place that is greatly developed in tourism and has a great number of excellent tourist resorts. The region is also known for its great archaeological finds and has many historical sites to visit such as the Castle of Pantakratoras, the Ruins of Nikopolis (an ancient theatre) and the Nekromanteion. Preveza is definitely worth visiting as it beautifully combines natural beauty with fun, relaxation and culture.

 

 

Lefkada lies in the middle of Ionian Islands and the closest islands are Paxi, Corfu to the North and Ithaki, Kefalonia and Zakynthos to the South. It is the only island that is connected to mainland Greece through the narrow strip of dry land and the 50-metre long floating bridge from the coast of Aitoloakarnania. Many visitors choose Lefkada for its magnificent beaches; Porto Katsiki and Kethisma are just 2 of them. Of outstanding natural beauty is Gyra, with its magnificent lagoon. Lefkada is impressive even as it first greets the visitor and will definitely be a place you will never forget!

 

 

Beautiful and fertile, the island is blessed with some of the most dramatic scenery in the region. Mount Ainos (1628 m.) dominates the south of the island and has been declared a national park. Its tall fir trees (abies cephalonica) are unique to Kefalonia and a small number of wild horses still roam the woodlands. Excavations have established that there were settlements on the island as far back as 50,000 BC.

The wonderful beaches of Kefalonia are famous in Greece for their extreme and unspoiled natural beauty. They all have fine golden or white sand and magnificent emerald waters. Argostoli the capital of the island, was destroyed by an earthquake in 1953, very little remains, one or two houses, the picturesque Fiskardo and the arched bridge stretching across the lagoon and the obelisk at its centre, which commemorates the date of its construction. Lixouri, Kefalonias second largest town is the vestiges of the ancient city of Pali.

On the east side of the island are Poros, Sami and Agia Efimia with its pebbled beaches. Fiskardo, the northernmost harbour on Kefalonia, has kept its traditional colour. Lying opposite and very close to Ithaca, it is surrounded by a thick cypress glade.
