The beautiful island of Aruba is home to some of the best beaches in the Caribbean and possibly the finest on the island is Palm Beach. The beach which is wide and clean stretches for three miles and consists of sugary white sand with an extremely warm and calm turquoise blue Caribbean sea. The beach is lined with elegant and glamorous high rise hotels which offer a huge range of water sports, equipment hire and courses. This is a great place to take an early morning stroll or jog as well as a romantic walk in the glowing sunset.

The calm waters along this coast make it a perfect location for snorkelling or scuba diving and the Caribbean has some amazing marine creatures to view as well as some stunning coral beds. Other water sports that are available on the beach include kite surfing, sailing, fishing trips and jet ski. Cruises are also available during the day and evening including candlelit dinner cruises and lively party nights. On the beach visitors can enjoy the restaurants and bars that spill onto the sand. There is plenty of much needed shade at Palm Beach with the palm trees lining the area. This is a great place for a picnic and the whole of the area is perfect for a family day out, with gently sloping sand and shallow water offering safe bathing. The trade winds are constantly blowing across this side of the island from the Atlantic Sea offering a cooling breeze throughout the day.

There are shopping centres and malls in Palm Beach where holidaymakers can enjoy the upmarket products and gift shops. Nightlife in Aruba includes eating out and enjoying a pleasant cocktail whilst watching a spectacular sunset on the beach. International cuisine is available including Italian, Dutch, seafood and steak houses to cater for all tastes. The island has 10 casinos that open in the evenings and remain open well into the late hours. There are also several night clubs where visitors can dance the night away, as well as Las Vegas style cabaret shows. Trips to the major sites in Aruba are available in Palm Beach including to the Arikok National Park and Bushiribana gold mill. For the keen golfer, the Tierra del Sol is an 18 hole championship course with water features and cactus hazards. Holiday makers can also enjoy other sports such as horse riding, mountain biking and tennis.

Palm Beach resort is only a few minutes drive from the capital city of Oranjestad with its pretty pastel painted Dutch houses which represent the island's Dutch colonial history. Oranjestad is a beautiful place to visit and has much for the visitor to see and do. Its picturesque harbour is a hive of activity, especially first thing in the morning when fresh produce is sold directly from the fishing boats. There are a choice of shopping malls in Oranjestad for visitors to browse, with individual boutiques and craft shops to enjoy.

Palm Beach is only 15 minutes drive from Queen Beatrix International Airport and flights area available from the UK twice a week. Car hire is available at the resort, making it easy for the visitor to explore the island and the other beautiful beaches. Local transport on the island is reliable, with a regular bus service to and from the main resorts.
