Playa Paraiso Holidays

The Adeje municipal district on the west coast of Tenerife is known for a few picturesque resorts and Playa Paraiso is one of them. Just a half hour drive outside of the Reina Sofia International Airport, Playa Paraiso is a close neighbour to other resorts including Callao Salvaje and Playa de las Americas.

As a quiet resort Playa Paraiso attracts those who desire the full relaxation package of sun, sea, shopping and a little bar hopping in between. Playa Paraiso is translated Paradise beach and one would expect to see miles of beach space here. Instead there is a small pebbled beach and despite its size this beach is a great place for underwater activities such as diving and snorkeling. And to make up for the size of the beach there is a wide expanse of saltwater lido which is very popular here.

If you are looking for some great beaches though, your best bet would be to go down to Playa de la Americas or Costa Adeje resorts. These beaches are also great for water sporting activities as well. You will find that the buses and taxis in Playa Paraiso are always on frequent schedule which makes it easier for you to be on your way to see the sights and feel the fervour of what this small resort and environs have to offer.

One of the most talked about tourist attractions here is some 3000 miles above sea level in the form of Mt. Teide. Ideally a hiker’s dream one can also take a cable car to get there. Of course the view from above is fascinating and on occasions during the winter months the mountain’s peak is capped with snow. Once at this highest peak you can visit the Mt. Teide’s national Park to see a variety of flowers and plants from all over the world. There are insects here as well and the park is also home to several bird species that are colourful and pretty.

If you are accompanied by children then they will totally love visiting the water theme parks in Playa las Americas. There is also a nature site in the form of Loro Parque, where you would go to see sharks and penguins and hear the calming sounds of the parrots there.

For a relatively new resort Playa Paraiso has an impressive list of accommodation choices. The hotels here are larger than life with tall modernly structured buildings. However if you desire an accommodation with a more homely feel you can always rent a holiday villa, some of which offer two bedroom accommodation.
