While the older crowd on holiday would most likely gravitate to Canarian resorts such as Arguinenium, the younger couples with families are seeking out Bahia Feliz for fun and relaxation.
Located some 15 minutes away from the airport in Gran Canaria a tasteful yet romantic resort that has a Moroccan feel as evident in the architecture here.
Everywhere you go you are sure to be enthralled by the islands distinctive scenic beauty, one that takes centre-stage as commercial buildings are fewer here when compared to other resorts.
Similarly a casual walk long the citys streets is a rewarding experience for they are quiet and ooze such a sophistication as you watch the lush gardens that separate each building there. The main town also consists of lovely parks which add a nice contrast to the commercial district.
The weather in Bahia Feliz is nothing but brilliant blue skies and sunshine that you cant get enough of. The winds here are ideal for windsurfing with Pozo Izquierdo cove being one of the more popular places to do so. And even if you cannot windsurf, there is a school of windsurfing where you can attend.
Speaking of beaches, the ones that here are small but would be ideal for the less-than-great swimmers as well as it would also appeal to children. Some of the beaches consist of a combination of pebble with little sand.
The real sandy beaches though could be found some 10 minutes away in Playa del Ingles which offer some 30km of coastal lounging space. For the odd occasions when you are not at the beach you can spend your time exploring the rest of Gran Canaria.
Visit the popular San Agustin marina which is known for its architecture. You can also make a stop 10km away in Maspalomas to check out its natural dunes park. At this park you get to see sands that are wind-sculpted and there is nothing more pleasing than viewing them from atop a camels back.
Still in Maspalomas is the Tivoli Gardens, the location of the Carnival which attracts the young and young at heart. Even if you are not sure where to find Tivoli Gardens the towering Ferris wheel would be a clear giveaway.
Nature lovers would surely welcome a trek up Mt. Tejeda or would equally enjoy a visit to Palmitos Park in nearby Playa del Ingles where you would see a variety of plants, birds and fish.
Bahia Feliz has a Moroccan feel that is unmistakable. A stroll down the beachfront promenade would put you at a vantage point to see how beautiful this resort really is.
With Moroccan type architecture and cozy parks where you can unwind, attracting a variety of visitors from all over the world. Described as a charming resort Bahia Feliz is bursting at its seams with several outdoor activities and interesting places to see.
When you choose your accommodation you can either stay at one of the world class hotels or you may prefer to stay at a self-catered apartment. These accommodations offer fantastic views, pools, live entertainment and places for shopping.
Filled with elegant fashion boutiques and souvenir stores, the latter which stock a wide range of items. Like other parts of Gran Canaria you can take advantage of the duty-free shopping here. More shopping opportunities await you over in Playa del Ingles where there are a few shopping centres including Plaza del Teide and Avenida de Espana.
Every Wednesday and Saturday you can save even more money at the San Fernando market. Between Bahia Feliz and Playa del Ingles you will discover a few beaches and coves which offer serenity and places to windsurf.
The beach over at Playa del Ingles is safe enough for the children and close to the beach is a place where the kids can indulge in a few playful activities. And for the adults there are bars and restaurants and shops for your convenience.
While there are a lot of local foods served here as well as there are fish restaurants, you can still enjoy International food such as Chinese, pizza and burgers too. Night-time fun in Bahia Feliz consists of restaurant or bar hopping or perhaps you may want to get all dressed up for an evening at Garbos.
Reminiscent of a 1920s theatre, Garbos offer a one-stop entertainment hub where you can enjoy dancing, a live show and a fantastic meal. Unfortunately there are no discos or clubs in Bahia Feliz but you can definitely travel to Playa del Ingles and take your night-time fun to the next level.
Care for some fun in the water without having to go to the beach? Then head over to Aqualand where there are over thirty water slides that would not only cool you down from the sun but would provide you with hours of fun. A carting track and a theme park filled with a variety of rides are also some of the big attractions here.
